To create is necessary. Whatever it might be; drawing, sculpting, writing - anything. As long as we are creating and expressing it - sharing it with others. This is a true act of courage and it is as necessary as breathing. Many people believe the opposite of love is hate and the opposite of happiness is depression. I think that's a bunch of hooey. The opposite of love is fear and the opposite of depression is a lack of creative expression in our lives.

I have a deep loyalty to others that write and create. For several years I have volunteered with the PNWA (Pacific Northwest Writer's Association - pnwa.org) in Seattle WA. In 2018 I had the pleasure and honor to chair the Short Story Category for the Literary Contest. I know the commitment it takes to write, the process is like scraping the bottom of the chili pot, stirs up the ugliest and the most profound and this is the paradox that keeps us returning to the page.
For over 25 years I have earned a living as a computer consultant and IT Director. I support all businesses with strategic planning, budgets and application and hardware support. Visit my consulting page if you are interested in ways I bring freedom to those who are stuck or feel enslaved by their technology. When I'm not writing, I'm raising children and trying to win husband and father of the year. You can also find me at the Yogasmith in Georgetown, coaching creatives like you, and teaching at Bellevue College.
I find one of the best ways to challenge my craft is to write and to share. Please reach out to me and tell me about yourself and what you like to write (click here to contact me). Don't forget to visit my social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
